Many mechanical components have been replaced by the semiconductors due to the trend of using automobile electronics is rapidly getting broader. The semiconductor technology can also provide drivers with a more intelligent circumstance. Its application is getting wider, the scope covers Power Train, Suspension & Chassis, Safety, Automatic Leveling, Infotainment & Multimedia and In-Vehicle Networking etc. It is estimated that the need of automotive semiconductors will be up to one hundred pieces for each car in average. Among these automotive semiconductors, the Analog IC and the Micro Control Unit (MCU) are the main components to be used in cars. Consequently, it is speculated that the scale of market regarding Automotive Semiconductors will be continuously increased due to the stimulation caused by the following factors - such as technology upgrading, Competition among car manufacturers, goverments' regulation, as well as requirements for safety and/or human engineering.
